Types of Complaints
The SLCC deals with three types of complaints:
1. Service complaints
2. Conduct complaints
3. Handling complaints
All complaints are first received by the SLCC. The SLCC deals with service complaints i.e. complaints about the service provided by legal practitioners. Conduct complaints if considered eligible by the SLCC will be dealt with by the relevant professional organisation, such as the Law Society of Scotland, The faculty of Advocates or the Association for commercial Attorneys.
